Once a month Sweet O Wine & Chocolate Lounge holds a wine & chocolate pairing that is always great!  Each guest will receives 5 chocolates and perfectly paired wines.

Sweet O changes our wine list quarterly, and this past summer we got our guest involved in choosing wine for our list by hosting this unique format wine tasting event. Sweet O will be inviting our best fine wine distributors to showcase several wines each and our guests will vote on which wines they would like to see on our list.  The top 5 wines of the evening will be placed on our Fall/Holiday wine list for 2008.  There will be approximately 40 wines to choose from, each guest will receive a small appetizer plate and a bottle of water to help cleanse the palate.  Because of the large format of this tasting we will only allow the first 40 guests to make reservations to participate.  Please note a credit card reservation may be required.

Friday October 3rd @ The Phoenix Zoo

This is our second year for Sweet O to participate in the incredible Zoofari event at the Phoenix Zoo!  It is a great event that the Zoo does to help raise money…this year they are raising fund to build a all new habitat for the Orangutans!  We will be offering 5 wines and 5 Chocolates just like our wine & chocolate pairings at Sweet O.  The event is a black tie soiree where by they close the zoo and have the park filled with 60 of the Valley’s top upscale restaurants and live music.  It is a great event and a great cause.

In winemaking, there’s a concept called "terroir" which refers to a region’s special set of soil and weather conditions that gives wines their distinct flavor and personality. Chocolate making is no different. Just as the terroir affects the grapes, "origin" has the same effect on cocoa beans. These similarities are what led us to "Sweet O Wine & Chocolate Lounge".

The "O" stands for "Origines" which is French for "origin." We would love to introduce you to our line of single origin chocolates from all over the world each one has a unique aroma, texture, and mouth feel—just like wine.

Sweet O offers a full Appetizer Menu, Grilled Panini Sandwiches & Entrée Salads all with homemade sauces and only the freshest and finest ingredients. And for dessert chocolate!

Meet The Owners

Welcome to Sweet O Wine & Chocolate Lounge a unique wine bar concept that was created by us, Pierrick & Jeanette Dubreil. We’d would love to tell you how we got to where we are and how Sweet O came about.

Jeanette was born here in Phoenix and grew up in the Valley, primarily on the west side. Her family goes back several generations of native Arizonans. Pierrick was born and raised in France, attending culinary school in Paris. He spent most of his early career as a professional chef and has worked in some of the best restaurants in France and the U.S. He is currently Western United States Sales Manager for the largest producer of gourmet chocolate in the world.

Pierrick came to the U.S. in 1994, moving to San Diego area where Jeanette lived at the time. They were set up on a blind date and have been together ever since. They were married in 1996 and had their first son, Keven, in 1998 followed two years later by their second son, Tristan. After 9/11, we decided we wanted to move back to Arizona to raise our children here. We felt it was important to establish roots, become involved in our community, and, most importantly, be close to family. So we bought a home in North Peoria and have been here ever since. Happily, I might add.

We always dreamed about owning our own business; after all it is the "American Dream". Pierrick, being an immigrant, moved to the U.S. because of the opportunities that we have here that you cannot find anywhere else in the world and we have been blessed. We really love good food, good wine, and entertaining friends and family. So when we dreamed about our business it was primarily a wine bar with great food. But we wanted to come up with a twist something different and playful. So Pierrick pulled from his experience in the chocolate industry and came up with the "wine & chocolate lounge" concept. When we started kicking the idea around most people responded with, "Those are my two favorite things in the world!" Well, we hope so because you now have Sweet O Wine & Chocolate Lounge to visit as often as you would like.

Come in for a visit and be sure to introduce yourselves. We will offer you a great selection of wines and chocolates and will have some great food as well. Order up a wine & chocolate flight then sit back and relax… It’s all good.
